Out of over 80 highly competitive applicants, the reviewing committee has selected eight outstanding postdocs to present their work at P-SPINE 2024.

The P-SPINE Symposium showcases the postdoctoral work of 6 national and 2 Philadelphia area scientists. Fellows will spend two days building scientific connections and presenting their work to the Philadelphia neuroscience community. Fellows arrive Tuesday, Oct 1st and depart Thursday, Oct 3rd (travel and lodging covered).
Competitive applicants will have a significantly developed postdoctoral project with a neuroscience focus (can be at the pre-print server stage or rough equivalent). If not published at a journal or preprint server, please use the research abstract to give a thorough picture of the project. Candidates will be selected via review process by relevant faculty at participating Universities.

Fellowship Overview
The P-SPINE fellowship provides travel and lodging for a three day visit to Philadelphia, and offers fellows the opportunity to meet and network with neuroscientists from University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, and Thomas Jefferson University, and gain critical exposure to the Philadelphia academic job market.
Tuesday, October 1st, 2024
P-SPINE fellows will arrive in Philadelphia and will have one-on-one meetings with PIs and postdoctoral fellows in their field. In the evening, fellows are invited to dine with postdoctoral researchers and faculty in University City.
Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024
Fellows will present their work in a day-long symposium to the Philadelphia neuroscience community, comprising postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and faculty. The symposium will be catered with breakfast, lunch, and an evening happy hour. A detailed symposium schedule is described here.
Thursday, October 3rd, 2024
Fellows will have the opportunity to independently schedule further meetings with researchers or explore the city of Philadelphia before traveling home in the afternoon.
